Theme
The theme of the second Asia press photo contest is still “Changing Asia”. The contest follows to international custom and usage. In order to present visual shocks and embody Asia’s national emotions and powers, participants are encouraged to act in accordance with Asian regional peace as well as achievements in various fields in Asia such as society, economy, science and technology and culture.
Arrangement
The competition closes on April 30, 2007. No entries will be accepted after the date. The date of the postmark on the envelope containing the entries will be regarded as the date of entry. The judge panel of APPC will pick up excellent works, arrange the award ceremony and produce the yearbook in May. The award ceremony and an exhibition will be held on June 1, 2007.

Judging Criteria
Photographs will be judged on how well they illustrate the competition theme, and the expressiveness of the work. Accurate sorting to appropriate categories and succinct wording in captions are highly recommended.
Awards
There will be one Gold Prize awarded for each category and the bonus is US$1,000 per winner.

Members: The judging panel comprises the ANN media principal, eminent journalism scholars, photography critics, photo editors and photojournalists around the world.
Contestant
1. The competition mainly opens to the press photographers and photojournalists of Asia News Network, while other photojournalists and amateur photographers from all over the world are also welcomed.
2. All contestants must fill the entry form for this competition, on which personal information, a detailed description of your works and participants’ signatures are required.
3. Organizing committee, who possesses a right to use contest works freely, is permitted to print and exhibit pictures repeatedly, while respecting the contestants’ signature authority.
4. The winning photos are likely to be printed and published on media, as well as showed at some exhibitions.
5. Contestant must make sure that he/she has the copyright of his/her contest photos. If photos infringe personal portrait right, the contestant will be responsible for the consequence.
6. If the third party shows their dissatisfaction with contest photos, the contestant should take the responsibility for all related illegal issues.
7. The items in entry rules and form have a binding force.
How to enter
1. All contest photos must be taken on the dates between June 1,2006 and April 30,2007.
2. Each entrant maybe submits a maximum of SIX photos or photo stories/portfolios.
3. The stories/portfolios should be made with a set of no more than TEN photographs. Each of them must mark its category and order.
4. Photos should be taken in a JPG format by digital cameras with an effective pixel count of no less than 4.0 million for photographs. Caption in English or Chinese should be in TXT format.
5. Contest photos must include titles and complete and concise captions. Foreign contestants please offer then in English, while Chinese contestants please offers in both Chinese and English.
6. Contest photo should be submitted in its original form without any manipulation.
7. Please put your entry form and a CD (including pictures and their captions) into an envelope, on which please note “for non-business purposes” and send or email us. Entries must be accompanied by a completed, entry form with your signature and specific contact details of the entrants.
8. The decision of the judging panel will be final and we would not accept any complaints.
