Our SFD Experience
We have written short assesments during the past celebrations. In 2005, CPU organized the 2nd SFD with about 200 participants - students, enthusiasts, geeks. We even have Mandrake developers joining us before they proceeded to Australia. The Philippine Daily Inquirer and Manila Bulletin wrote articles about the event.

In 2004, we also organized the very first SFD. This was participated by users and newbies in free and open source software. Businessworldonline introduced CPU and SFD to the public on that year.

In 2006, University of the Philippines Linux Users' Group organized the event. UnPLUG won a community award for deployment from Software Freedom International.
