Profile Pictures Enabled
Submitted by Dino Manrique on Sat, 2007-12-22 22:07.In the spirit of added interactivity and personalization, I enabled the uploading of profile photos/images/avatars, and their display in entries and comments. For the moment, consider this an experimental feature, if this measure contributes to the improvement of the site, then we will make this a fixed feature.
You may upload your pictures in your 'my account' page.
Thank you, and keep on posting.

Had to Restore Site, Please Re-post your Content
Submitted by Dino Manrique on Tue, 2007-10-02 21:28.Hi folks,
There was something wrong with PinoyTechie.com and my other sites, so we had to restore from previous backups. I was wondering if the sites were hacked, but my web host said no. At any rate, we're still looking into it.
Anyway, because of the problem, some of your most recent posts have been lost. I would greatly appreciate it if you can post your content -- and your comments -- again.
Also, if you have recently registered, you may need to register again.
MyBlogLog Drupal Module Bug Fixed; Site now Loads Faster
Submitted by Dino Manrique on Tue, 2007-05-29 14:29. drupal | firefox | mybloglog | tracking serverYou might have noticed that the site is now loading faster. That's because I found the bug which was causing the slowdown. It was caused by a wrong entry in the MyBlogLog Tracking Server field in the settings of the MyBlogLog Drupal module.
I entered the number '3' when I should have entered the server itself -- 'track3.mybloglog.com. In other words, the PinoyTechie.com site couldn't find MyBlogLog tracking server '3', thus causing the site to stall.
Filipino Technology Portal Once More!
Submitted by Dino Manrique on Mon, 2007-04-23 18:54. filipino | philippines | portal | technologyI recently announced that PinoyTechie.com will be going international. But after giving it some more thought, I decided to revert back to the original purpose of the site, that is, to make PinoyTechie.com a technology portal for Filipinos. I realized that we, Filipinos, can still use another Filipino Technology Portal, that there are functions of this site which cannot be found in other Philippine Technology sites (yet) like a calendar of upcoming technology events, classifieds and jobs sections, etc.
