Best Media Player

Wow, this is the best Media Player ever! I have for a long time longed for a media player which possesses both 1) video controls -- in particular brightness adjustment -- and 2) the adjustment of the speed of subtitle display, and at last I found this wonderful piece of free software called GOM Media Player which you can download here.

What's great about GOM Media Player is that access to the aforementioned features -- and a host of others; this is just the tip of the iceberg -- is very easy. Its either you just right click on your mouse for the menu or you can use the shortcut keys. In this case, for slower or faster subtitle speed, it's < or >, and for decreasing and increasing brightness it's 'E' and 'R', respectively.

Is this better than VLC player?

GOM beats the rest

Definitely better. VLC was my alternative to Windows Media Player before (like when WMP cannot play a certain media format, for example), but I couldn't find any subtitle speed control in VLC. Moreover, I don't think VLC has shortcut keys like GOM does -- you have to open VLC's GUI Interface to find controls for video image adjustment, e.g. contrast, brightness, etc. In other words, GOM is very intuitive and light years away in terms of 'user-friendliness' compared to all media players I've tried, including VLC and Windows Media Player.

Thank you
