After the Beacon debacle, Facebook is back in business. Its struck another "Blockbuster deal", this time with online retail giant Amazon. Facebook announced a partnership with Amazon to provide instant scalable web services. Its a great deal, Facebook developer could use Amazon Web Services for building applications. Forget Beacon first, don't be distract of Google, get rid of them, think something new, Amazon Web Services, a one stop shop for someone's else information technology needs ranging from applications, tools and storages. It could aid Facebook developers, provide them with a cost effective and scalable platform. Recently Amazon entered the digital music market, and it got the latest salvo to Apple's music store, take this Steve Jobs, Amazon MP3, the free DRM MP3 music store, its completely free of DRM, its mean it can play in any devices unlike the Apple music store. Amazon could now powered Facebook music and even Video( see Amazon Unbox its quiet cool). Facebook now have direct access to movies and TV shows, from Amazon's Unbox download services, TiVo viewers can buy products Amazon. I know this products, I got Amazon Unbox and also Amazon MP3 in my site, and its pretty cool and great. Amazon and Facebook a perfect team, its a good match to Google-Myspace alliances. Facebook got Amazon Web Services while Google got AppEngine(in which I'm also a user.).The stakes are high. Facebook - Amazon strategic deals bode well for the two net powerhouses and for the marketers eager to reach a high net worth of demographic through the social networking site. With the growing popularity of Amazon Web Services and of course Facebook Platform, Google better watch out, there are news that Amazon might come to myspace to power its music, well just bring it. Whatever the deals, one thing is for sure, Facebook is here to stay.
